Why I started study diaries?
My study abroad journey took me from Azerbaijan to Turkiye for my bachelor's degree and later to Lithuania for my master’s. Along the way, I learned that the reality of studying abroad can be very different from what you expect before you leave.
Part of my journey included a negative experience with a study abroad agency. Over time, I also heard similar stories from other students – experiences that made me realize how difficult it can be to find clear, honest information when making such an important decision.
That is why I created Study Diaries.
I wanted to share the side of studying abroad that often gets left out: the uncertainty, mistakes, lessons learned, and things I wish I had known earlier. Not to tell students which path to choose, but to give them a little more clarity before they choose it for themselves.
Study Diaries grew from my own story, but the goal is for it become a place for many students’ stories – raw, honest, and useful to those taking their first steps toward studying abroad.
